    Printer sharing help

I have a Mp730 canon all-in-one printer attached to a Window 7 computer via the usb port

I would like to share it with my other computer on the network which are using XP and vista.

Can someone point me in the right direction

    Thanks

The easiest and safest solution is to network the printer. This is done with a print server. Many routers include a print server, or you can buy a discrete print server, such as one of these. The advantages of using a print server are many.

No need to open up sharing on the "host" computer
Your (the host) computer does not need to be up and running for others to print
With no host computer, no messing with firewalls
All users can print at the same time - the server will sort it out
The printer does not need to be tethered to a computer - freeing up desk space
The printer can be centrally located anywhere on your network

Make sure all your computers are in the same workgroup network. Then enable printer sharing. That's it!
