Really?? Does that phone not support Exchange?

It does support exchange but hasn't worked for me yet.
That's strange ... I was under the impression that everyone got the new feature simultaneously this time. Is a particular error you are getting?

There's a workaround in that thread. A different mail client than the stock android one works fine with syncing mail. I'm still playing with the calendar aspect and contacts as well

Hmm how is this different to setting up hotmail using POP?

Trust me, it's totally different. POP doesn't support push, nor does it support proper syncing of messages. Hotmail's POP support is an afterthought for legacy software, it's not the way Hotmail is designed to work. IMAP/Exchange is.

And yes, it does also support Calendar and Contacts syncing.

I just updated my iPhone last night and it's syncing and everything fine but I'm having another quite serious problem. It seems to be KILLING my battery life. I charge my phone every night and after unplugging it this morning it was down to 80% percent in an hour. Now it's down to 32% and I haven't used it much today at all. Also the phone seems to be running somewhat hot.

I've never had this problem with other exchage accounts.

I've never heard of that either. Are you sure it's not something else wrong? What iPhone model are you using, and with what iOS version?

I used POP and the syncing seems to be instant. Just that it doesn't have Calender or Contact..not that i can see.

iPhone 4 with 4.0.1. I turned the phone off for a while and then turned it back on. It's on the charger now so I'll have to wait and see if it's still doing it. It was getting pretty warm like it was hung up trying to do something. I also noticed that when I turned it back on i got like several new emails right away. I wonder if it was hung up trying to recieve the new emails?

Yes, it's possible that it was having a connection problem for some reason. Let us know whether the problem goes away now or not.
