Microsoft is reportedly close to finalizing the latest iteration of Windows Live Essentials. Of course, the Redmond company has not confirmed this detail, and in fact shared little information on how advanced the development process is, or when it plans to wrap up Windows Live Essentials 2011.
A third-party source claims that the software giant has produced a fresh release of Windows Live Essentials Wave 4, which it shares with a limited pool of testers.
Apparently the Build number of the latest Windows Live Essential 2011 release is 15.4.3117.0831, but this needs to be taken with a grain of salt, since, as I’ve already said, there is no official confirmation from Microsoft.
Apparently, early adopters testing a previous Build of Windows Live Essentials 2011, namely 15.4.3114, and upgrading to 15.4.3117.0831 are no longer required to restart their machines.
Testers already familiar with the pre-release development milestone of Windows Live Essentials 2011 undoubtedly know that following the deployment of either Beta 1 or Beta Refresh, the suite requires a reboot of the computer.
The same source claims that Microsoft has optimized the installation/upgrade process increasing performance.
At the same time, following the release of Windows Live Essentials 2011 Beta Refresh, Microsoft is apparently gearing up to releasing Wave 4 to manufacturing.
