    Have you tried right clicking on the installer's executable or main exe file to set the compatibility mode? 7 also has the troublecompatibility tool now seen as well. For stubborn to install or run programs that's one option to consider.

    Now, that's a good idea, I forget about that feature of the program. I'm ok now, and have the software loaded on a vista machine that's on the same desktop. After talking to the zune support people, I'll wait a while longer and try again. Thanks for the suggestion.

    Hope it works out for you there!

    Initially I had quite a bit of fun trying to get things going on the 7000 beta builds until finding out what to do for any particular program seeing problems. Did you know the diagnostic ideas tried out on 7 now sees things running on Vista that didn't before!
