I can't seem to find what some are really excited about. It seems a tad better than ie8 but not by much and considering the fanfare it arrived too I was expecting much more. It's finally heading in the right direction but it's still not up to scratch.

Wrestling chrome off my hd will not happen with this browser!

Opera and IE9 Beta : Same page opened at the same time; look almost same; Opera is more faster as expected ;But IE9 has significantly improved its speed than previous versions.

I can see many wondering what all this excitement and what IE9b has brought to the user.
Well, it works like a final release product at the beta stage, that itself a fine accomplishment. Well done IE team, I like it and many here do so.

I agree, brummyfan. This is the first time IE has turned my head and caught my attention since I left it 5 years ago for FF. It really is that good.

A few vids in case someone has missed 'em. :)

I can't ***** believe the tabs are exactly what the leaked pictures from before showed. It feels heavily CLUNKY with all these tabs crunched on the right side. This, for me, is by far the most disappointing thing about IE9.

Yes, I just found this one out. Assuming Google is using HTML5 in compliance with full standards, which I highly have no doubt anyway, http://www.chromeexperiments.com/ should be a good place to start bombarding IE9 with what Chrome built to try for itself. I have to say, a lot of the experiments in there failed with IE9.
