I left IE9b to see if it was causing some 'connect' problems ... I experienced no BSODS or anything else.. just a seriously long lag, especially with Youtube

I'll re-download it later and see if the "lag" still exists on my computer with IE9B or some other app I have installed.

Testing always is good. Don't give up 'til you find the problem

I set up an image of the host drive on the second drive configured in a dual boot in order to do precisely that. Test beta!

The IE 9 beta went on without a hitch and seems to run as normal as a finished browser. But I will still need more time for comparisons however.

The tear off tabs idea reminds me of what you see in a few of the tv shows like NCIS LA where you see someone moving the windows around on the projection screen being applied to IE. You won't need a 3rd party app with this feature being added on.

Little Niggle, does anyome have any suggestions/advice

When I move from sites my favourites tp the Favourites Bar on a few it will not associate the correct icon with the appropriate website. For example I have Ebay (which is correct) but when I add BBC Football the BBC Icon changes to Ebay but still shows correct BBC website. I have deleted/moved it numerous times and on every occassion the BBC chngrs to Ebay :-(

    Crash and burn for me.

It started out with the view downloads option not working. In IE 9 64 bit nothing happens when I click View Downloads. In IE 9 32 bit IE crashes with a has stopped working prompt. I tried reseting IE 9 32 bit to defaults but that didn't help. It actually mad things worse, now it crashes every time I open it. Un-installed IE 9 and re-installed, still the same deal, IE 9 32 bit won't load. A problem has prevented this program from loading, something like that anyway. I did a system restore to before I did the first install. Un-installed flash, shockwave, and java and tried again. Worked for a little while and then crashed on the java download site with the same "A problem...." message. I even tried the IE (no add ons) option and it was a no go. At this point I can honestly say I give up. Short of re-installing windows I don't think its going to work for me. I've just screwed around to much trying to fix it. I am going to be doing a clean install in a month or two when I buy a new SATA drive for this PC, so I'll likely try again then. Anyway if anybody is having problems with IE 9 you might want to think twice about using the "Reset Internet Explorer setting" option.

    Thanx,

I'm using SSD's so I'm not interested in BETA testing with this machine. I will grab it tho, at actual release. I'm all for less junk in IE.
how comes your not testing because you have an SSD?
