Thanks. I just "upgraded" from Vista, and it actually seems quite the same (with, of course, some exceptions).

Is the SP2 compatible with the Windows 7 RC, or does it only apply to the Vista OS?

Sorry to says this, but sp2 sucks, I had a dual boot Win vista home premium sp2 (integrated) clean installation with no softaware installed running with 8 GB of ram vs the win 7 7127x64 running only with 4gb (same procesor, etc) I stay with 7, better performance, it just better + faster than vista.

Oh come on! Windows 7 isn't even gold yet, how could you think Vista SP2 could be applied to it

I missed the part of why SP2 sucks? Did you expect it to bring Vista to Windows 7 performance levels?

FWIW SP2 installed with no issues on my Server 2008 x64 workstation

I disagree (with no bold highlite needed)
SP2 rtm is just about as fast as Win7 and a nice improvement for Vista.

I know, I know. But to my defense, we are in the Windows 7 forum. I thought there must have been some relevancy.
