As Microsoft has not kept their end of the bargain I have sent them an email to cancel my subscription and request a full refund as they have broken a contract or I will have to take legal action.
I have now received an email back saying that they will refund me in full as I am not happy.
This shows me that they have broken the contract, if only everybody would take them on, but obviously that is not going to happen.
Is there anything in that deal that you originally signed that told you exactly how many keys you got and how many activations?
It's what most companies would do, but the situations are different here. They are changing this to slow down piracy and to curb abuse of the program. Had they left all of the original members with all of their keys, these people would have flocked to retrieve all of them and in all honesty...potentially made the situation even worse.
this is just not cricket - has anybody received any notification from m$ about the recent changes?
what's to stop them from making more changes any time they want to in the future? taken to the extreme, maybe there's something hidden in the 7 eula that says microsoft can just 'turn you off' if they feel like it.
it's also a shame that there's nothing we can do about it, except rant here - and i'm teed off that i didn't harvest my keys earlier - i'd only used two 7 keys.
and such a draconian reduction too! 10 -> 2 pff scumbags and sleazeballs indeed
this could lead to more piracy, not less...
I have a sub that I did not renew that expired on 6 August all thos keys are still working. The new sub? Who knows?
As previous posters have said it is the fact that they are just walking all over us that is getting me. Why should we allow it? I really do not want to, have no intention, have had not intention and will never 'steal' their products. Therefore why should they alter a contract that I have enterered into with them? If I did that they would bring the full force down on me.
