My wife has the Omnia II. I was a little underwhelmed. I hope Microsoft fairs better...

I've been waiting for the Windows 7 phones for some time as I don't like Apples lock-in and I don't like Googles hunger and dishonesty, but at almost every turn the "lack of features list" has grown and grown and it comes off about as polished as the iPhone 1.0

At this point in time it should have met and bested IPhone and Android in their current incarnations. Though a weak app store I could have forgiven as that is not really up to them. I actually feel bad and let down by it and Microsoft on this one...

It may be an ok phone for the average user but it's no Geek phone

    Windows Phone 7

    Quote from TechRepublics Jason Hiner

" Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer opened Monday’s program by saying Microsoft has built a “different kind of phone” in Windows Phone 7. “Microsoft and its partners are delivering a different kind of mobile phone and experience - one that makes everyday tasks faster by getting more done in fewer steps and providing timely information in a glance-and-go format,” he said."

IDK about anyone else, but I think the main UI with the blue squares for each app is Fugly.

I really want MS to do well but c'mon. That looks like a middle schooler designed it.
