    I think a mouse is very much a matter of personal opinion. Microsoft likes the fact that I use their mouse and that makes me sleep better at night :) Especially because they bought it for me. (I then bought the Laser Desktop 8000 anyways, so now I have 2 go figure)
    Well, of course it is - just as which OS to use, which components to use i building a PC, what color car you like, how you like your coffee, etc. etc, ad infinitum ad nauseum....

    DA ... I had a corded laser mouse from Microsoft in '00. It actually had a LIFETIME warranty. Although in '01 they changed that to 5 years. That mouse was great. I gotta remember what it looked like...
    Now, leave it to me to take us back off track

    Here is my other 'Mouse', and both are connected simultaneously to my computer (the MX uses USB and the Trackman uses PS/2, so no conflict of devices):

    That style of mouse drives me nuts, when I was at my last job they had a Microsoft one on the front counter and I always used to try and move the mouse before remembering about the ball and another thing that used to bug me was the ball used get stuck or jump, but on the plus side they are good if you have limited desk space, which by the way was not an issue.

    Love those Fireworks!

    They are also *really* good for those with bad wrist problems as the entire arm from wrist back can remain stationary - I used that puppy with an arm brace on one time - my fingers could move (albeit painfully) an thus I could work.

    Okay, so we're talking about computer mice now?

    To get on topic again: middle-click opens a new window for me, alt-click does indeed open the window switcher in sticky mode and ctrl-click cycles through the windows.

    @everyone

    yep and its still strong after repeated shock damage falls spills and is still good for gaming....lol

    this is the only reason i got *OK* marks on the COD beta...lol
    (im not a really good gamer but this mouse is something else...)
    i also have a logitech and that for a desktop/server....

    this one is deteriorating and getting worse than the MS mouse even though i had 2 years with it...lol

    Are we back to mices yet ...

    I just purchased a Razer Diamondback Gaming Mouse about an hour ago; and I'd like to know what y'all think of it. Will it be ok to use?
