Not sure who said this but in the early days of PC's this amount of storage was considered as almost unrealistically high.

I see now it won't be too long before a 1PB - 1 PETABYTE drive appears (1PB = 1000 TB or 1000 * 1000 GB).

There's no proof Bill Gates said that, and it's such a dogmatic and short sighted thing to say. Though it's just like Ken Olsen saying nobody needs a personal computer...

Times change, business needs change, personal needs change, etc..

I mean, e-commerce is HUGE. It's the main reason why the Internet took off so fast!
People become very ADHD which is why they have over 10,000 songs and 4,000 videos on their computer, not to mention old caches they refuse to clean out which over time can take up several GBs of hard drive space...

How does having 10,000 songs make you ADHD? I have around 30,000 because I like music, not because I chew my ear and chase my tail in a padded room.

Btw how do you clean out old caches? Is that just a disk defrag?

No, you gotta dump the cache.
You can do it in C Cleaner quite easily
or you can do it the long way with CMD
