    I agree, I'll wait for the final released version. Running Win 7 on a partitioned drive when the Beta and Release Candidates were out is one thing, but running SP1 on my everyday machine...naw, I'll get it later.

    +1 ....What's the rush ...wds7 is great by itself .....sp or no sp ....

    I am going to download the Service Pack 1 RC hopefully on this thursday and I just wondered what updates it included and does it expire?

    Yep! i'll wait either on my actual machine...here the "time bomb" is set to the Nov 30, 2011, but it will probably be in the Windows update section before that date! :)

    There's a few things you will need to see updated prior to going to install the RC. The readiness tool and the WUSignTool.exe will need to be run first

    Once you run the WUSignUp tool look back at post #80 to see what will appear in the MS updates when going to check up on them manually. The Windows service pack 1 prerelease Wave 0 is one of the items that will be needed.

    Note the cautions on any av and other protecttions you have running since those can hamper any effort to see the RC go on. Some programs like the free version of ThreatFIre simply have to be removed completely before the installation will succeed or end up getting to the 99% or 100% mark and then suddenly revert back. Just a forewarning on this.
