I'm not really concerned. As a long time user of Firefox....and currently happy as can be with 3.6.12....Firefox 4 will arrive when it's ready.

Personally, I hate how IE functions and looks. Chrome is great, but just not a big enough difference to make me switch.

Firefox lets me block flash and scripts without much effort (though makes it a pain if a site MUST use one of them).

I will be waiting for FF4. Having used beta 1, I am looking forward to it. Not going to drop it because of a slow release...

personally i think that the fact that it is pushed back is a good sign it means that they are constantly making adjustments to the programming to make it better due the constant feedback from its users. from experience i would much rather have a postponed release date than a rushed finish. have anyone here heard of KOTOR II? when it came time for the game to be released they had finished roughly 2/3rds of the game and rather than postpone the release date and take the time to finish it they rushed to tie the main story threads together and ended up turning what could have been an amazing game into a mediocre game with tons of side quests into lots of side plots and lots of hints of quests that lead to nowhere. if i was in charge of the world i would make it illegal to have due dates because one can never anticipate all the problems that might crop up. besides it builds suspense.

Fox 3.6.12 is working just fine for me as well.
yes, it takes a few extra moments to open, especially since I have Sync turned on for bookmarks, passwords, etc.
I've tried Opera, IE, Chrome and just recently RockMelt.

I always keep coming back to FF...it just works.

No other browser has anything close to noscript and I won't use anything that doesn't. Noscript is the best security and privacy add on you can have.

I'm running the x64 4.0b8pre and it only takes 5 seconds to start up with my 8 persistent tabs I always have running. I'm using an almost three year old laptop to boot.

I have been trying out the Firefox beta and have to say I am impressed with it, but if a delay means that they need to work no some features and on bugs that have been reported - waiting is alright with me. Like you, I'm a long time user of Firefox, provides so much faster speeds then any other that I use (which I use maybe 2 , and no IE though unless it's absolutely necessary)

    Hm, what about IE 9?

Also, this isn't much of a deal, look at the bright side; Less bugs and may be more polished when it it finally released.

Exactly - when it's fully released I'm expecting to be a polished product. Or is that too much to expect from one browser

What about it? I tried it out and it was nothing that really impressed me. I didn't consider dropping FF because of it. In fact, I find IE almost useless with the address bar squished onto the tab area at the top. That browser is a no-go for me to even consider based on this.
