An agreement to disagree negates any previous disagreement.

    Win all round
Any previous disagreement still stands, the agreement is merely a means to peaceful coexistence.

Maybe I should have given it a chance, but there must have been compelling arguement for why so many companies did not move over to it?
Vista was not as bad as many people said, companies probably had old hardware designed for XP
It's not the hardware, I just got a brand new Dell Precision M6400 at work, and that puppy is capable of juggling XP and Vista at the same time. Many companies have gone over to have their (leased) PCs and Workstations replaced after 3-5 years. But the bigger the company, the huger of a deal is the rollout of a new OS, not to mention LAN, HW drivers and all the proprietary software along with it that needs to function seamless in a productive environment. And as long as there is no business case for the whole thing, or expiring support for the OS, why should a company leave XP that looks somewhat dated and boxy, but is relatively fast and still has the reputation of running stable. And not to forget, everyone is familiar with it, so no productivity loss on that end either.

I liked the Taskbar of Vista compared to the SuperBar in 7.
    +1. The only reason I HAVEN'T upgraded to 7.
+2 Hey isn't that alone reason enough to not upgrade?? (I am serious!) Wifey has Vista on her 2 yr old Dell laptop and after tons of additionally installed software over time, but maybe thanks to the same amount of upgrades, it runs fast and stable like on the first day. To my knowledge, it hasn't crashed a single time on her. And I like it's design, to me it looks a little neater, a little less sterile/perfect than W7. Kinda like a Wndows 7 "Classic". When my wife indicated interest in W7, I repartitoned the HD for a dual boot with W7, but she hasn't switched. That however may also be because up to date I have not found an equivalent driver for the integrated finger print reader, and she loves that feature.
I still have XP along with W7 on my 5 yr old machine, but I'm getting a little tired of it, not only because I have to look at it every day at work. It appears to run just a tad faster than W7 (that has a lot more additional software installed), and now I am getting curious how Vista would perform on my "classic" system that I still wouldn't want to swap with any other machine.

I disagree with your disagreements but agree to my agreements.

But I agree with your right to disagree, even though I agree that you are right to being disagreeable.

    Do you agree?

I agree that the nature of the disagreement is agreeable to all who disagree and agree, if we can all agree to that then we all have confirmed the disagreement.
