Sounds like a niche has opened up in providing VGA -to- HDMI dongles...

Cool! An advancement in visuals. Also, should be easier to install, no more screws...

I'm not too concerned about losing VGA. I think all new monitors have HDMI. I recently bought an Asus 24" LED monitor and it has all 3 types. If you spend any less money, then you might not have HDMI. but then you are cheap anyway and shouldn't have high expectations. ..

I personally hate the way HDMI looks on HDTV. I am not sorry to see VGA go, but that better not edge out DVI, too.

That would be nice to see a wireless port for displays...Like those Windows 7 commercials with the cloud. Either that or just stick with DVI/-D and HDMI (taking over).

Ummm...what? You hate the way HDMI looks on an HDTV? You do realize it delivers to best picture quality, right? Sounds like someone needs to tune their HDTV. HDMI blows the other consumer level connections out of the water, and brings audio along for the ride as well.

Can't say I'll miss it either. But why take away DVI? That could be the new standard along side HDMI
There is already a new "standard". DisplayPort.
