    That was simply a short lived promotional survey to see who was interested in 7 as well as which browser(s) they use. Once a certain maximum number was reached it automatically closed out.

    I think in the long run we'll just have to sit and wait to see how many actually win. Those that do will likely receive an email for download when the time comes.

    It wasn't going to be up any lengthy period to start with apparently. Otherwise you would have seen other types of contest promotions.

    All that happened so quick without any further details found that it's simply a "who knows" type situation until 7 is out. It's also one way to find out how many are potential customers as well as providing a few incentives for people to look at 7.

    The RCs themselves tend to serve as "free samples" for a new product. You give a few away to generate potential sales later would seem to be the idea there.
