    Never used SteadyState
    Maybe Comodo Time Machine is an alternative ?

    I've tried that and it didn't look as nice as the MS version did, not to mention that it exited most of the times without any warning.

    And yes mickey megabytes, it is the "xp network system tray icon-thingy used to animate". Thanks for clarifying it...
