1.So if I have a version of XP installed, I can get the upgrade for 7 Pro and it will do a clean install?

2. My version of XP is 32 bit, but say i want to upgrade to 64bit, will it work?

Guess thats not as bad. I'll probably go with Home Premium (full).
$200 is fair, imo. plus I dont use half of the "Ultimate" features, anyway.

Official differences between editions of Windows 7

Link posted in that post I made.

200$ for Home Premium is OK. I just hope the exchange rate US <-> CAD won't destroy those price because we can easily find B**ches that could sell them at the same price as Vista...

Also, I can't oder from MS's CAD website because they're too dumb to acknoledge that most of the people that lives in the Province of Quebec speaks FRENCH and thus don't offer the product in French on their Canadian store. That is why we get imported France softwares here in Quebec. That is why my Halo 2 game's keyboard controls are based on an AZERTY keyboard instead of the QWERTY we got here... PFFF...

Sad...Also if you don't need XP compatibility for productivity software then can't even see buying the Business for a home network. Don't know about you but I don't run a DNS server for my home network and don't need to take a personal PC to a work environment so I don't need Domain Join. Home Premium here I come. Darn...3 copy per version limit on the pre-release orders. Oh well, guess I will just have to purchase 3 from Microsoft store and then maybe 3 more from bestbuy, etc.

In Europe, you get the full version for the upgrade price. ( If I read it right)

The upgrade price will be much higher than the US one , as usual - also you don't get IE8 ( do you care?)

In my price range for the Ultimate Upgrade Option!

Looks like the retail Upgrade option is the way to go & just install without the key, then upgrade it to itself!
Ultimate $219.99 isn't bad at all for the full Windows 7 Ultimate which is exactly what I want.
I've NEVER used anything less than PRO or Ultimate & I'm not going to start now...
