Does anyone know what versions will have the Windows Virtual PC (XP) included?
I believe it is all versions Professional and above, because Virtual XP is aimed at businesses.

Pity the EU had to ruin everything. Im hoping to go for the Ultimate edition if I have the money available.

I got ripped on the Ultimate Edition last time, don't think i'll be falling into that trap again. I will probably go Pro.

I seriously doubt the OEM prices (the ones we can get) will be less than 49 and 99. More like 80 and 140 or something if past is any indicator. I think I'll definately be preordering, just hope there is an order limit of more than one

The 49 and 99 price points sound more like the REAL OEM prices that smaller system integrators get (I'm sure Dell gets them for less than that )

While I think the prices are great it's still pretty poor that Pro will cost $62 more in the UK than the US (pre-order)

    VAT?

Have to remember that in the US price is BEFORE tax :) though sales tax is still only anywhere from 0 to 8-9% based on state.

    Stuff the EU

So, everyone in the EU will be:
    • Barred from the free Windows 7 upgrade offer (i.e. if they buy a PC with Vista now they won't get a free upgrade in October, unlike everywhere else in the world)
    • Have to buy a full 'E' version of Windows 7 and do a fresh install.
Admittedly if you have a licenced copy of Vista you can get the full Windows 7 E for the same price as an upgrade edition elsewhere. However, it doesn't appear that this will be available in retail outlets - we'll have to order it direct from MS (I guess in the same was as you can order 'alternate media' for 64-bit versions of Vista at present).
