FutureShop Prices and Versions Canadian only

    Posted: 26 Jun 2009
Here is a screen shot attachment I took of FutureShop prices and Version of Windows 7...they have a pre-order promotion till July 12, 2009 but the full versions a little pricey don't you think?

These companies really have to lower these prices if they want it to be a successful operating system in terms of sales, but overall I can't wait to buy to final Ultimate X64 version (looking around for better prices).

I would probably be happy enough with Professional. The things that are in Ultimate that are not in Professional wouldn't really affect my life. Unless, there are things that are in Ultimate that isn't listed on the Futureshop... then again, Futureshop has a tendency to leave out "certain" information.

    Thank you Slimy

Just saw that...as for FS I doubt I'll order my copy there, unless they lower the $ a lil bit for ultimate.

You don't know guys how mad am I atm when I see those prices. I knew that the Canadian prices would suck compared to the US one... THIS IS ALWAYS THE CASE ON EVERYTHING. I'm getting rather tired to be squashed by the US price wise!

I agree with you, its $25 cheaper in the U.S. I wonder with the best conversion if buying in the U.S. would be cheaper.... even with the exchange... maybe have to wait until the Cdn Dollar goes up...?

Could be worse, if you fell for this price.

    Always blame the exchange.
On top of it all, I have to pay two sale taxes (total 13%). BS.

    224.99 * 5% = 236.24$
    236.24 * 7,5% = 253.96$ !!!!

I paid Windows Vista Home Premium 265$!!!

BS! BS! BS! BS! BS! BS! BS! BS! BS! BS! BS! BS! BS! BS! BS! BS! BS! BS! BS! BS! BS! BS! BS! BS!

$253.11 you don't pay tax on tax. And consider yourself lucky your provincial tax is only 5%.

oops read that chart backwards 7.5 pst 5 gst Oh and holy cow quebec and P.E.I do charge tax on tax making it an effect rate of 12.875, time to move to Alberta lol.
