You shouldn't have to go to their facility. There should be plenty of UPS drop spots near you, such as Staples. They take UPS packages..prepaid or not.

Windows 7 x64 / Same

Outside of the obvious performance improvements, I'm very interested in the EFI BIOS.

"EFI: BIOS control via a Graphical Interface with mouse controlled support featuring unparalleled control options, 2.2TB or higher native HD support, and Quick Boot features."

Thanks for the clues on UPS.

I've also learned this:

Apparently, if you want "cross-shipping" at New Egg to exchange old for new, there will likely have to be some sort of a phone conversation between you and a New Egg customer service rep. Not sure why that is--possibly a security precaution to prevent fraud of some kind?

I guess if they get in 1000 model X replacement boards and had sold 300 originally, they are setting aside 300 for RMA and then putting the other 700 up for sale now to the general public.

New Egg customer service is under a heavy load due to this recall, so it may be that a brand new buyer may get a B3 board before many of the RMA customers can get a replacement. That seems to be what is happening as my replacement board is on sale but I have not yet heard from CS. No big deal to me as the current board is firing on 8 cylinders.
