Yeah, it hasn't been "officially" released yet. The main links say RC (have for days) but still give out Beta 12. Could have got this build linked in the first post on majorgeeks since the 5th. Changelog is up, which is new, so at some point today will probably be posted. But not ATM.
Just tried yowans link in first post, have installer below and version now installed says 4.0

Yep, links now give out the RC instead of the beta 12. But it's the same one that's been out on a few sites since the 4-5th, so people could have been running it since then.

Is this release going to be 32 bit only or is a 64 bit coming?

32-bit only for Firefox 4 although there are nightly builds available in 64-bit, I think Mozilla are going 64-bit with Firefox 5 going by the link below

This is great. I just wish it performed as well on my MAC as my PC. I mean, that is the point to me - a browser I can use on windows or MAC platforms. As much as I like Firefox, I may be going to Chrome as my main browser- it performs well on both. I will probably use a mixture.

does anyone else get this error in RC1 when typing a word in the URL bar so it loads your default search engine? eg open new tab > type sevenforums (so it opens in google) > enter > error appears

    Firefox can't find the file at jar:file:///C:/Program Files/Mozilla Firefox/omni.jar!/chrome/en-US/locale/browser-region/region.propertiessevenforums.

i dont have the ask toolbar or vuze/azurues

making a new profile/deleted old profile doesn't make a difference

i also cleared appdata, roaming and local mozilla folders

edit - i have gone back to minefield 4.0 13pre beta and it works :S

I'll be downloading and taking a look at it when I get home from school, lets hope it doesn't eat up as much RAM as Beta 10.
