No I found it. I needed to download something for that addon to work. Everything other than "Linkification" not being compatible is okay

I haven't used Firefox in a long time. I'm not one that didn't get into having all the Addons; just seemed like it created too much overhead.

When it seemed that FF was getting very resource heavy I looked elsewhere. FF got to a point, for me, that it just didn't have the snap like it once had.

I went to Chrome and have liked what Microsoft has offered up in IE9.

I downloaded and installed the Firefox Release Candidate and like what I see so far. Pages load very fast for me; haven't had any issues so far.

Think I'll give it another test.

Yeah, you usually have to take some care with the # of add-ons for firefox. I only use 4 of them, but I really count on those 4 add-ons.

does anyone else get this error in RC1 when typing a word in the URL bar so it loads your default search engine? eg open new tab > type sevenforums (so it opens in google) > enter > error appears

    Firefox can't find the file at jar:file:///C:/Program Files/Mozilla Firefox/omni.jar!/chrome/en-US/locale/browser-region/region.propertiessevenforums.

i dont have the ask toolbar or vuze/azurues

making a new profile/deleted old profile doesn't make a difference

i also cleared appdata, roaming and local mozilla folders

edit - i have gone back to minefield 4.0 13pre beta and it works :S
if anyone has this problem i have found a solution

type in about:config in the URL bar
    search for keyword.url
    right click on keyword.url
    click modify
    remove chrome://browser-region/locale/region.properties
    click ok

hopefully the fix it for the final release

Been screwing with 4 for a while and the only issue I have is it handles PDF's badly.

Had to install Nitro PDF, but still the RC handles PDF's worse than the Beta's.

Hate to say it but, Chrome handles PDF's like a champ. I just don't like that Chrome does not work with Open DNS very good or at all.

Foxit reader w/FF foxit reader plugin for mozilla, works perfectly every time and it is far superior to Adobe Reader in every way as well as having a much smaller foot print and not requiring a running task to eat resources to speed up launch.

I've downloaded version 4.0 3 times and installed it. It simply will not work on my computer. After installing, it will not even open. I've uninstalled it and reinstalled 3.6.14 and it works great.
