Before the final release they should make it more resource-friendly, FF 4.0 takes up a lot of RAM.

My experience says FF 4 RC doesn't take any more ram that Google Chrome or IE9.

I just opened all 3 browsers. IE9 RTW, FF 4 RC and Google Chrome 10.0.648.127. I opened up 3 tabs (Facebook, Windows 7 Forum and The Register)

    Single Firefox instance taking 109,380KB

Chrome running 7 processes taking 130,512KB

    IE9 running 4 processes taking 123,792KB.

So, they are all pretty close on my box.

Just for the sake of comparison, I opened up 3 sites in IE8 and the total RAM usage is 89,040KB, with three processes running the three sites.
