All depends. Latest stable, or latest period?

Latest period is 6.1 (Nightly)

Stable 4.0.1 (and or Firefox 5.0 Beta 1)

I meant what is the latest news. What will be the next final release version. Not interested in Beta.

Fire fox nightly seems nice. I been using it. I get confused by all this updates and build versions.. As long as they release updates that improve Firefox I'm happy.

+1. I've been using nightly since before it changed it's name from Minefield. It's a 64 bit browser using Adobe "square" x64 flash. As suggested it updates every night. Currently it's at 6.01. Very nice and very fast.

The 64 bit nightly is significantly faster than the 32 bit 4.0.1. By 28% on the peacekeeper benchmark.

Firefox 6 Aurora Coming Right Up

Quote:
Firefox 5 offered the first chance to try an Aurora Build to early adopters of the open source browser. Soon testers will move along to the second Aurora development milestone for a new iteration of Firefox.

Firefox 6 Aurora is getting close to release, although itís not quite there, early adopters needing to exercise their patience a tad longer.

But with Firefox 5 having graduated to the Beta channel last week, Mozilla is also tending to version 6 of the open source browser.

Testers that understand the risks implied by running pre-release software can go ahead and download Firefox 5 Beta from Mozilla. The bits were made available for download just ahead of the past weekend.

Next on Mozillaís plate is Firefox 6 Aurora. According to the open source browser vendorís plans last week, the Aurora channel merger for Firefox 6 was scheduled to start later today, Monday 23rd.

Unfortunately, just because Firefox 6 is starting the transition from Nightly to Aurora doesnít mean that the actual bits will also be available for download to testers. At least not just yet.

Mozilla made it abundantly clear that merge dates and release dates for the various development milestones of next versions of Firefox are not one and the same.

In this regard, although Firefox 6 Aurora is starting to take contour, it will still be a while before the actual bits are released.

The code needs to be tested against specific quality standards that would qualify it for an Aurora release. Only if said standards are met will Mozilla launch Firefox 6 Aurora.

Firefox crashes everytime I try to launch it.
It had too many tabs and it keeps crashing every time I try to launch it. Maybe there is a bug? I created another account and it works there well but I want it to work well on this account too. Turning the computer on and off didn't work.

2 weeks of battle, I need help please...
I have been running a home built computer for 1 1/2 years. The only major problem I've had is the OS and bios intermitantly reading my 6gb of memory as 4gb. So I bought 3 more sticks (3x2gb same brand and model as my installed sticks). Still same problem. I read somewhere that resetting...
