Interesting article but his first point makes absolutely no sense.

The fact that IE9 does not run on XP is not a reason not to upgrade to it..

The title of article assumes that you can upgrade to it. The fact that you can't do something is sure as heck not a reason not to do it because if you can't do something than the related question of whether you should do something is invalid. It just doesn't exist.

Its like saying. I can't have a child and here is a reason that I shouldn't have one.

Now if the title of article was "Five Reason Not To Like IE9" then his first reason would be valid but that is not what the title of his article says.

His other four points are interesting. However, I am not as much a speed nut as most computer users are. I am more of a security nut. I would rather use a Browser that is slower but I think is safer and that includes the addons that you can add to increase the safeness of browsing the Net with the Browser. Based upon that and other useful addons that Firefox has that are not security related it is still the Browser for me.

For an XP user it's the MAIN reason not to upgrade indeed.
What would you upgrade to, if the upgrade is never going to be released?

On a more serious note, I'm planning to format soon (I'm changing my partition scheme once again) so I might well give IE9 a try before formatting, so I'll be able to judge it on my own with the sites I use the most and decide whether to install it or not once re-installed Windows.
One thing is for sure: I think I'm not going to upgrade to IE9 on my XP install, don't know why but it just seems... Too difficult
