At this point it's a total nonsense for MicSft to give aways 20/30 different keys that works for everyone without any limit. They could have just given ONE for the 64byt and ONE for the 32 and that's it.
I think they changed their min don the go.

Ok I have been talking with a guy very close to the Microsoft programmers and he explained me what happen:

Their initial idea of the 2.5mil keys have been discarded: after yesterday they realized that giving away keys FOR FREE just using a LIVE account would have lead to after the 2.5milions would have been over:
1) Some people (many) still not having a regualr key
2) Some people (many) having way more then one

This situation was leading (read some posts above) to a "black market" selling of the "precious keys" with the difference that these keys have been given for FREE.

This would have caused huge problems in the short end (think at people searching for legit keys on ebay and ppl selling for hundreds!!).

Then they had to change their politic.

OFFICIALLY THE 2.5MIL LIMIT HAVE BEEN REMOVED! Keys and downloads are and will be available with no time/quantity limit!

I got mine a few weeks ago off Bittorrent. I got the key today though.

I have to admit I was surprised that people were all up in arms about not being to get it from the servers. Bittorrent is so much easier to download large files. Maybe Microsoft will learn one day.

Well...after all this time spent trying to get a key, and trying to get the download....it doesnt like my setup. Weird thing is, it'll install nicely on my dell dimension 4600c (I've got 4 computers here...mine, my kids each have one and then the dell). Oh well, at least I can still try it.
