I'm looking at this in somewhat of a negative fashion from what most are, in that I'm wondering if an AM3+ motherboard will work properly with the older Phenom II x4 and x6 processors? When it comes to upgrades, I must take baby steps.

I would think so, since the AM3+ Motherboards are using the existing chip sets.

Don't know any prices but may be released in June. I heard that AMD will be releasing a new chip set also with SATA III and USB 3 support.
