USB 3.0 is supposed to go to manufacturers in August from the last word I heard on it. When article there points to the introduction in late 2009 and Q1 2010 that's not a big surprize and fits right into the time frame seen on the initial reports in late 2008.

7 already includes or will include when finished support for this. The present usb devices will be left out of the look on this however not being 3.0 devices to start with. To see those speeds you will need 3.0 standards built in already just like you can't push a 1.1 device upto 2.0 standards there.
