Well I am not a fan of Softpedia and in that article no where does it say that anyone at Microsoft said that "Windows 7 will RTM at the end of July"...I will always stick with WZor on this; They have never let us down and proved to be the #1 source for info regarding the inner scoop at Microsoft.

Your right in saying that Wzor still has the facts straight. Soft has the right dates, only they are confused with the facts that go with the dates.

Now that Soft (and I am sure there are others) are posting these dates, there is going to be a lot of rumors floating around. The only thing that we will probably hear from MS is when RTM will be officially released to their partners and technet. Other than that all they need to do is make sure that they can deliver Retail and OEM for October 22.

This is from a partner email 29 June:-

Release to manufacturing code for Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 will be available toward the end of July.

Thanks for the info...That is when it will be available to technet and other semi public mediums (?). That still doesn't mean we will not get it sooner...(look at 7264 for example)

I don't quite understand why everyone is getting so excited though. Build 7264 is probably almost the same as the Official RTM. Hopefully, Microsoft excites us with some things that we would never expect in Windows 7 Official RTM. Maybe the Gazelle Browser. Then the EU can't disturb them anymore. It's not IE.

EU ****ed things up , that's what they got. If I were MS, I ripped out a lot more things in version E or made a crappy build, exclusively compiled for EU..or at least put a huge watermark which is "alwaysontop" saying "build 7xxx EU edition" and covers almost the whole screen. That's what EU deserves.

The people of the EU don't deserve it...but I would love to go bitch-slap the hell out of their parliament and/or commission.
