What I love about Bill Gates, is that he doesn't look like he owns a lot of money and stuff like that. He is just a normal human being, and he is also willing to donate a lot of money to poor places of the world.
just read he news on cnet >> Microsoft betting Skype keeps it ahead of Google, Apple | Microsoft - CNET News
mixed feelings i wonder in the long run will the cost be the same and the same service? i have been with skype since the early days.

Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer said, “Skype is a phenomenal service that is loved by millions of people around the world. Together we will create the future of real-time communications so people can easily stay connected to family, friends, clients and colleagues anywhere in the world.”
Skype CEO Bates said, “Microsoft and Skype share the vision of bringing software innovation and products to our customers. Together, we will be able to accelerate Skype’s plans to extend our global community and introduce new ways for everyone to communicate and collaborate.”
That definitely sounds like there are already plans for growing and expanding Skype, which has been languishing for years with minimal new features and product development. With Microsoft’s resources behind it, there’s the potential that Skype could be unleashed to start innovating again.
That seems like it won't be intrusive and should work seamlessly without loss of the main programs functionality. I'm just hoping it doesn't get too bloated and start to impact performance. I'm one of those people who wasn't too excited about the Facebook integration but I'm not happy about that anywhere lol, although it was a natural move.
Such incredible amount of money. I only heard of Skype before never had any use for it.
I do hope they allow Skype to keep its identity. Though MS owns it now, I pray it doesn't screw up the reputation skype has made over the years.
It's a very bad news for me. Skype is an excellent program but I fear that Microsoft f*cks it up like they did with WLM 2011. Can't use nicknames? Gotta be kidding me...
