The Thinkpad I recently purchased has an esata port, and to be honest I couldn't imagine needing a faster interface. But I guess if they don't keep coming out with new stuff they'll eventually go out of business.

This week, Lenovo began selling its ThinkPad X1, a 0.85-inch thick (thickest point), 3.8-pound design based on Intel's "Sandy Bridge" Core i5 and i7 processors.
