External hdd shows as "off line."I just removed this hdd from a laptop
I just removed the hdd from a laptop.(purchased SSD for the laptop.) I want to use the original hdd as storage. I hooked it to an adapter and formatted the 1st partition, which had the OS. I've always been successful doing this task, so I can't figure this one. The drive,(disc 2) does not...

Can the "All Programs/Back" & "Search" entries be removed?
Using the Windows Classic theme, can the 'All Programs' & 'Search' (which is useless) be completely removed from the Start Menu? I'm talking about the entry All Programs bar and the Search entry, or can the useless MS Search be replaced with one of the many substitutes? I do not mean the Search...
Removed "failed updates" in Win 7 update history
Is there a way to edit the log for Windows update history to remove the failed updates as in the attached jpg ? I have solved the issue of them failing...but would like to delete these and other "failed" entries Thanks....TRinAz
