Your IPv4 address on the public Internet appears to be 24.202.162.69

Your IPv6 address on the public Internet appears to be 2001:0:4137:9e76:3c9c:a051:e735:5dba
Your IPv6 service appears to be: Teredo

World IPv6 day is June 8th, 2011. No problems are anticipated for you with this browser, at this location. [more info]

You appear to be able to browse the IPv4 Internet only. You will not be able to reach IPv6-only sites.

Your IPv6 connection appears to be using Teredo, a type of IPv4/IPv6 gateway; currently it connects only to direct IP's. Your browser will not be able to go to IPv6 sites by name. This means the current configuration is not useful for browsing IPv6 web sites. [more info]

Your DNS server (possibly run by your ISP) appears to have no access to the IPv6 Internet, or is not configured to use it. This may in the future restrict your ability to reach IPv6-only sites. [more info]
    Your readiness scores
10/10 for your IPv4 stability and readiness, when publishers offer both IPv4 and IPv6
0/10 for your IPv6 stability and readiness, when publishers are forced to go IPv6 only
...and, with A Guy's link aboves... everything doesn't work... no ipv6 although the tests are telling me that I am compatible through routing.

I have a WRVS4400N router. I'm not sure how to enable ipv6 on this router, it still says 0/10 even though the router is supposedly capable..

If you need IPv6 it's quite easy to get via a tunneling client - gogoCLIENT's Page - gogoNET
    Hi there

any other convenient links that do the same thing.

that link says you have to be a member to view the page

(I have nothing against the site or registration in principle - especially if its free but I don't really want to register on 1000's of sites that I might only ever use a few times).

    Cheers

    Hi all
I wouldn't worry too much yet (individual subscribers who connect to the Internet via a home router / cable and a broadband ISP).

Your IP will remain IPV4 for a considerable while -- the ISP will have "Mapping software/ hardware " to convert IPV6 <===IPV4====>

Duplicate IPV4 addresses could be handled the same way as existing phone numbers -- you often have identical telephone numbers -- apart from the AREA CODE.

You could do the same with IPV4 -- add an invisible index prefix to resolve "duplicates". The DSN server (at the ISP) will receive and direct requests to the appropriate site(s).

I'm not sure exactly how they will handle the change over but it will have to be done something like this since it will take MANY MANY years to switch everyone over to full native IPV6. Meanwhile they will have to maintain backward compatability for "Donkeys years" yet.

For people working in IT for large organisations or telcos then that's another question entirely -- but I'm sure they will (if they haven't already) got plans in place for the transition.

I doubt any of us are worried. I think the whole idea of this was to garner attention, and also push providers to prepare. It has certainly worked. A Guy
