Actually, it is not fake. I looked it up in Technet Blogs. It was written by Alex Shapoval. He works for MS in Russia.

Now it could be a typo but it definitely is a real page from the Technet Blogs.

    Продукты и технологии Microsoft : Выпущены Windows 7 и Windows Server 2008 R2!

It is in Russian so you will have to translate.. With Google or Bing

its false info or old info being re-reported. RTM is whats being pressed to dvd how could they be pressing 16385 and yet it will be 16386? makes no sense. that would mean people buying copys of win7 in a store is getting a different build then someone buying a new computer from a OEM.

False information. 16385 is RTM...why do you people insist on creating these stupid threads?

MS employee in the beta newsgroups confirmed the build number as 16385.

I dont believe that it is fair to call it stupid, due to the fact that the information recieved was in fact from a source just like all the other links Ive seen, Technet..msdn...and his was from TechNet..stating 16386. That in itself makes the topic very valid, regardless of if it is wrong or right. We shall see tomorrow.

    something from wzor

The final distribution RTM release in August will probably look like this: 7600.16385.090713-1255-1,

    will this turn into 7600.16386?

He corrected himself in comments that 16386 was wrong build number.

    and accurately build 7600.16386 (six)?

    Was the final build 6.1.7600.16386?

Can you clarify please? Why rebuild after the signing? Tomorrow it will be available to partners ... Or is it a typo?
