It is quite a change to see Firefox taking the Chrome like approach of small but many releases and version number changes. I think by the year's end we may all be running Firefox 7! But that said have you guys read the arstechnica article where IE 9 is kicking ass in terms of security!!!! Wonders never cease!
Yea but it only kicked a little ass is just two tests that were run. Blocking known bad URL sites and blocking exe files by reputation. Some of the DNS servers like Norton DNS also blocks bad URL sites before they even get to the browser. Malwarebytes Pro aslo blocks bad URL sites. Norton IS also has a reputation blocking feature. The article did say they didn't test any thing that used browser flaws. So its great that IE9 did good on these limited tests but I wouldn't depend on just a browser to protect you.
