I tend to agree with the sentiment, but I don't think that this would constitute a death sentence. When it comes to corporations, it would seem that it might be more effective to permanently remove their right to do business. Not only the corporation, but the actual persons that owning and running it.

FWIW: The only thing wrong with removing their right to do business is that they just close up shop and open it under a different name. That's what the medicare fraud people do all the time. Limite Liability Corporations or LLC's is what is they file under and just change the name and away they go for another round.

That is the reason that I didn't limit the action against only the corportation, but also the real people. I admit that it is likely that they would find an alternative means of doing business, but this type of legal action would give them serious reason to pause and consider before doing something such as this.

I wasn't familiar with the term LLC, so I Googled, and found that it stands for a limited liability company, not corporation.

Either way, it seems to give the owners too much latitude.

Sounds about right to me. I'm a great believer in short sentencing - 24 hours in prison then hang 'em.
