The one thing part of their blog announcement that the preorder discounts was a thanks to testers was a little disappointing since I will be going for the Ultimate edition to start with in about 10 weeks time at this point.

Yea but many of the friends I know want to "steal" Windows 7 cause Microsoft "cheated" them off their money for Vista.

Will this also apply to Technet subscribers?
Sure will. we will be able to download RTM on aug 6th. I believe each key is good for 5 installs. (correct me on this) Considering all, the subscription price of technet is lower than the actual cost of buying win 7 outright.

I believe Technet allows you up to 10 keys per product, and if you have (legitimate) need beyond that, you can contact them to obtain more.

Not sure if there's a limit on the number of activations per key if you're repeatedly reinstalling, for example, but believe they'd of course be tied to the computer they're activated on like usual.

Anyone want to donate money for me to get a MSDN/TechNet Subscription? Eh didn't think so.

=S I heard somewhere that those 'MSDN/TechNet Product Keys' do not work if you lose/cancel your subscription, is that true? I mean like if I have a subscription, and used the keys I could get with it to activate W7, would it deactivate it if I lost the subscription?
