I can't say that i'm not surprised.. That means is that my next build is getting one of these.

    Newegg.com - Intel Core i7-2600K Sandy Bridge 3.4GHz (3.8GHz Turbo Boost) 4 x 256KB L2 Cache 8MB L3 Cache LGA 1155 95W Quad-Core Desktop Processor BX80623I72600K

You could have had something great AMD...

I was excited for this, planned to buy it as soon as it released. Doesn't look like it anymore.
What would be better for me to buy, as a gamer: an Phenom 1090T or a 8120 (or perhaps something else from AMD)?
I heard the 8150 beats everything in Deus Ex: HR and Battlefield 3

    Hi Madsupra,

I found this on a site I visit regularly, it shows gaming performance for Arma 2 and it doesn't fair well.

    AMD FX-8150 Gaming Performance | bit-tech.net

    Bit of a disappointment really.

    Wow.
    the 2500k is 18FPS avg faster running 3.3ghz vs the FX8150 at 4.8ghz ..

Perhaps this is why all the leaked OC results of 8Ghz+ OC prior to launch.
Does it need to run that fast to match a stock SB?

I would suggest to the gamer above to just skip the AMD chips right now and go Intel..for this very reason. It's not like you save much money on the AMD.

I would like to know where he say that FPS report. Also none of the benches have been done by well know reviewers. I do think that Intel chips are faster but I think alot of these benchmarks are being scewed by people who do not like AMD. Alot of the early reviews with charts where changing the scale of the AMD chart to make it look like they were not even close.

it's crazy bulldozer has gotten so many bad reviews. i've been lookin at new processors and motherboards lately and i've decided i'm probabbly gonna grab the Phenon II x4 965 black edition for my desktop. CompUSA.com | HDZ965FBGMBOX | AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition Quad Core CPU it's very affordable
