well, personally i love tabs, because they don't crowd up your task bar, it gets annoying to manage.

I already have the taskbar situation taken care of here. If I run out of room on that I simply add on a new toolbar! Again all that is still... "User.... Preference...".

I wish our IT at work would actually do something and update our browsers instead of constantly installing new printers which no one needs lol

For them that's simply a business expense and a tax write off at the end of the business year as a cost of doing business as usual. As long as everyone can do the job they are typically far from any actual concerns about updating anything they consider minor! That's life!

Very disappointing to the web development community. We waste so much time trying to get newer experience features to work under IE6. In the US, it's the fault of plodding IT departments; internationally, I have no idea what the deal is. I was looking at some Asian metrics the other day and was very disappointed to see a lot of IE6 -- something like 35-40% in some countries if memory serves.

Once XP finally slides away into the distant past you won't be running into that problem anymore on any large scale. Once developing locations gradually move forward as MS is apparently looking at it support will dropped once and for all.

It' just the recent switchover from analog to digital broadcast. The time was extended another 4 months for that to allow every station time to catch up or lose out! MS now has a set date where they can finally say "enough is enough".

That's my hope, Night Hawk. My employer, a very large company is still on IE6, but the desktop guys recently announced they're going to skip 7 and put everyone on IE8 by year's end. Cheers erupted from my department.

I still use it. When a site I wont allow to set a cookie in Firefox comes up. Firefox IE Tab though.

With 7 and IE 8 running there you know how IE 8 compared to the past mistaked by MS with IE 6 for sure! I'm sure you'll be very relieved the day that comes when you no longer have to put up with it!

IE 7 would still be a "large" improvement even if they had simply upgraded you out of the old menace entirely while the wait will be something you will have to continue putting up with for the time being. I can offer some empathy for you on that for sure.

(tell them to get it in gear and get IE 8 sooner!)

I'm afraid this may be beyond the scope of my abilities. I thought I might have been able to figure it out but, it's not looking like it. I want to add a customized card back to the set of standard ones available in the card games in Windows 7. I would like to make it an option when I select...
