I registered and got my confirmation 5 minutes later. Cool.
Is there a "main event" or does the introduction come at one of the seminar tracks.

Registration and "partner presentations" begin about 11:30am most places.

The afternoon sessions start at 1:15pm.

I'd suppose any "main event" / introduction / networking / food occurs during the first couple hours. And assumably the "free" Windows 7 copy comes at the end of the day (but since they email the product keys, they probably just do those automatically for everyone who shows up during registration).

Anyway, I'd expect a couple hours of generic mingling as people show up, then breaking into more specific groups for the afternoon sessions.

No. From what I here at SF, Mr. Gates has no joint venture in the EU.

While MS does hold a world-wide footprint, its roots are in america, it's primary source of income is through, you guessed it, americans buying and using MS products, it costs money to hold these events, why hold global events like this, when you can spend a fraction of the amount touring the US, and get the biggest return on your dollar... makes perfect sense to me.

typical though of foriegn countries feeling like they are "Left out" and getting the shaft by americans, never made sense to me.

Why doesnt heinekin host global events like they do across the pond? wah wah im going to go cry. :)
Where's the Heineken event? I would like to go to one!

Dig down deep, and click everything...

I KNOW I saw 07:30 registration, freebies, food, etc..
(Because I'm not an 0730 kind of people! Major effort here...)

    --- Disregard ---

    That's "For Developers"

Top Right button, under the picture of the box...

Wow, I'm thinking to go too, but not sure about my work schedule. I will pm you. :)

This is the date for Detroit area:
    Oct 28
Detroit, MI Launch Event | Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 R2 and Exchange Server 2010
I got an email back from Microsoft on this today and the marketing materials on the website were wrong. It's not Oct28...it's actually Oct 7 as the confirmation email showed.

I just checked the website and it's now correct.
