Since the location for the Detroit meeting is only a couple miles from where I live and work I went over there today and confirmed with them the date of the event. It is indeed Oct 7th.

I cant wait. Are they officially giving out Win 7 Ultimate or were some people just lucky to receive it?

If anybody wants to give me their 32bit key, I will check to see if it will work on the 64bit OS.

Officially they are giving out Windows 7 Ultimate with 32-bit media and a cd key. If you do not want to use the 32-bit version of Windows 7...you are on your own to come up with the 64-bit media (perhaps from a friend with MSDN access or such), and then you can use the key that Microsoft provides to activate that copy of the OS.

I'll be going to the Detroit class as well. I've got a group of fellas from my current job and past job who will be attended as well.

FYI - Okay, so I was able to get a copy of Win 7 X64 from a pal (MSDN version RTM?). Installed and using the SN from 32 bit DVD sleeve it registered just fine.
