Free Win 7 with Product Key By Attend free launch event
-
FYI - Okay, so I was able to get a copy of Win 7 X64 from a pal (MSDN version RTM?). Installed and using the SN from 32 bit DVD sleeve it registered just fine.
Cool, that's exactly what I plan to do as well. I have an MSDN operating systems membership at work. I have a few coworkers going with me as well to the conference and I told them that I would get them the copies of Win7 Ultimate 64 and they could use the key they received from the event to license and activate it.

I cant wait. Are they officially giving out Win 7 Ultimate or were some people just lucky to receive it?
Officially they are giving out Windows 7 Ultimate with 32-bit media and a cd key. If you do not want to use the 32-bit version of Windows 7...you are on your own to come up with the 64-bit media (perhaps from a friend with MSDN access or such), and then you can use the key that Microsoft provides to activate that copy of the OS.
I'll be going to the Detroit class as well. I've got a group of fellas from my current job and past job who will be attended as well.
Could this not be construed as piracy?

No. The license is valid.

There's no piracy using a software with a legal key.

Since I just couldn't wait, I installed the MSDN 64 bit version of Win 7 on my machine w/o a key. I'll plug in the key I get next week to make it official.

My event is on Nov 9 and I am looking forward to the whole day. What sources are available to get the Win7 in 64 bit format. I do not have an MSDN account or have anybody (that I know of) that has one.

Hi Donny,
What source did you use to find this Forum?

I don't recall. Maybe it was Google.

LOL. It was a suggestion , not a question.

Knee slapper. Better than a chuckle or a ROFL.
