You have to opt in for msdnaa otherwise you won't get the login info emailed. After the payment is aproved you need to sign into your acm account,
click on "My Service", then click on Developer Academic Alliance so you can opt in; once you do that, it takes ~24 hours.

Has anyone who opted in for this see a Cd Check Out option as well as the download option? I am wondering if ordering the DVD media would give a different file than what the ISO produces.

Q: How do I purchase software?
A: Students can now order a personal copy on CD Media by following these 4 easy steps:

    1. Select the product you'd like to order
    2. Choose the CD Media/Mail Order delivery option
    3. Enter your shipping address and please ensure it is correct
    4. Enter your billing information (Visa/MasterCard)

Q: What products are currently available for purchase?
A:If the Program Administrator for MSDNAA has enabled CD Media Sales as a delivery type in this system, these products will be listed in the Storefront located under the Software button.

Each CD Media Sales product includes one CD (or more where applicable). The license gives you the right to install the product on one computer.

Each student is limited to ONE copy of each product only.

Q: What am I paying for?
A: You are entitled under your department's MSDNAA agreement to download or order software through CD Check-out at no charge. If you choose to have CD media shipped to your home, you pay a small fee to cover the cost of the CD media itself plus shipping and handling. You are not paying any fee to "license" the software, as the software is already fully licensed under your department's MSDNAA agreement.

Q: When I purchase CD Media, what will I actually receive in the mail?
A: If you choose to have the software delivered to your home or office, you will receive a CD or set of CDs in a plastic CD sleeve. If your software requires a serial number or license key, it will be located on a yellow sticker on the back of the CD media received. PLEASE NOTE: The Mail-order DOES NOT include boxed packaging or manuals. ONLY the installation disk[s] and product key are included with this offer. In multiple CD orders, not all media may have license keys attached.

Q: What methods of payment do you accept?
A: Payment may be made via MasterCard or Visa only.

Q: Will sales tax be charged?
    A: No

Q: Are there restrictions on shipping addresses?
A: Yes, shipping is available only to Canada and US.

    You can not do that.

    Read the FAQ here:
Welcome ACM Student Members to MSDN AA

Q: Can I install my software on two computers at once?
A: Yes, as long as you are the owner of both computers and both are being used for instructional purposes. NOTE: If you require another key for a product you must contact the PA (program administrator) at your school. Your PA's contact email information can be found in the support page. Click on the Support button above. Also, friends, family and colleagues not currently enrolled in a course that is part of an MSDNAA department are not allowed to access or use the software available from this website. (For examples of appropriate usage see: Content not found)

Q: I have a new computer now, how can I re-install my software?
A: You are allowed to install the software more than once based at the discretion of the program administrator and the software distribution method chosen (i.e. Download, Cd Check Out). Note: if you purchase a Mail Order product (CD media sales method of distribution) you will need to go through the Microsoft Customer Care Center for support: 1-800- 936-5700 in North America/ World Wide 1-800-249-8314. If you have further questions, please contact the PA (Program Administrator) at your school. Your PA's contact email information can be found in the support page. To view this information, please click on the Support button above.
