    Hi guys


    Today my payment was processed and then i opted for MSNAA account id which will be in my hands in about 24 hrs. It was really amazing. I have to wait for 2 days till approval/payment was processed.

    Just a word of advice.. once you have your new copy of W7 installed and activated, make an image of your disk ... just in case!!

    The MSDN site states that the licenses are lifetime - surviving membership and graduation - as long as the the software is used for academic puposes.

    Means that we donot have to make any image etc. its all time fully working keys.

    Tews is correct and wise - you should image and backup. You will probably save yourself many hours of work, maybe days of work.

    I only posted the bit about the license to address concerns regarding it's lifespan.

    Windows 7 backup/image will work for me for ever if i use the same system config. and how may i restore it if my win become currupted after few months let say?
    then if i resotre it than it will restored on the date of which the image has been made. Am i right or not?

    Hi.. To a point, yes ..make sure that you store the image on a seperate partition/drive.. do incremental image backups to keep your image current ... If this were linux I could bang out a bash script to automate the process ...
