I waited patiently for Tews to gather himself. It was only after you proved his error that I had to nudge him.

    Don't know why I didn't send a PM.
    may i delete my post
    Dont worry Tews will come.

So on my MSDN account I see Windows 7 X64 Professional edition for free. Is this the final build or just a RC of some kind?

I also have a choice to download ultimate but it is only 32bit mode.

Thanks for the help. I am sorry I did not read through 34 pages so I would guess this has already been covered.

If you are talking about the MSDNAA then you'll get the Professional Only, and its the Final.
    Windows 7 Professional(x32) - DVD(English)
    Windows 7 Professional(x64) - DVD(English)

If you are talking about the MSDN account then you can access any Edition of both 32 and 64bit.

What account do you have MSDN or MSDNAA ?

It is free for me tho. Not the $19 that some have to pay?

Then you can only download Windows 7 Professional 32/64 bit at the moment.

If you accessed MSDNAA through ACM then you MUST pay $19. If your school is in the MSDNAA list then you dont have to.

    UPDATE :
       Note

MSDNAA has updated the list with

    Windows 7 Professional(x32) - DVD(Chinese-Simplified)
    Windows 7 Professional(x64) - DVD(Chinese-Simplified)

Well the actual Verification Process I guess no one in here knows how its done.
Iv been registered for about several weeks back. Today this email came.
       Note

As part of our student offerings, we created the Student Academic Initiative (SAI) whereby we offer Student Members access to software that is made available through selected vendors.

It is important for ACM to verify that the individuals taking advantage of the ACM Student Academic Initiative are indeed students. Therefore, we are asking you to provide us with the information below by Friday, Sept. 25th.

    * The Name of Your Faculty Advisor
    * Your Student Identification Number

Thank you for your help in this matter!

may be they are doing a routine check, or they suddenly started to verfy as there must have been so many unverifiable entries getting accessed to their resources.

Well usually for the first Payment Aproval and Developper Access it may take 1-3 Business Days.

Does a law student (not taking computer courses) qualify for student membership?
For ACM, yes, but not for MSDNAA.
Please, cite your source. It could be that taking the ACM courses fufills the requirement of taking computer courses.
