Windows 7 Pro $19 for students
-
all the versions of Windows 7 that were available before from ACM are still there when I logon so I wonder if the post saying Windows 7 is going to be removed is legit I guess the question is if anyone is not seeing W7 RTM available anymore from ACM ??

ACM-registered proper student. The Pro Windows 7 versions are all still there. Perhaps they are taken out for those who can't prove their student status?

The referenced post, with modest changes, is all over the place.
I've checked and it is genuine.

Well, atleast I've saved all my 8 keys already in case it disappears

You mean they are really cutting down this ?
Even for the Students who are in for real ?

As far as I know, all of my students took advantage of this offer. Most were already members of ACM through their high schools. I won't see any of them until next week, so I will not be able to ask any of them for status.
Z3r010's investigative results notwithstanding, I do not believe the email anyway, whether or not it is from a member of ACM management. While ACM may have the ability to discontinue the MSDNAA opt-in feature, ACM does not have the ability to discontinue or alter a MS program. The burden of proof of a qualifying membership is borne by ACM, not MS.
One thing remains as true as it ever was - TINSTAAFL.

I'd be interested in hearing what you found out..

guys its already gone in the software list
im lucky i got the 8 retail keys before they pull out the softwares
but what about the keys? are they valid for activation or not?

Confirmed. TINSTAAFL.
A sad day for ACM student members, perhaps, but I would imagine that access still remains. Contact ACM PA for details - as advised by the MSDNAA web page.
Lesson learned: ZIITL - z3r010 is in the loop.
