    Confirmed. TINSTAAFL.

A sad day for ACM student members, perhaps, but I would imagine that access still remains. Contact ACM PA for details - as advised by the MSDNAA web page.

Lesson learned: ZIITL - z3r010 is in the loop.
Thanks for the info Antman, Yup Its Gone.

To all of you who fit into this category a big **** you very much! Your greed and unethical behavior have ruined this opportunity for those that it was intended for...

    With all due respect....

anyway, if you have access, Computing Students, Just check out their Other benefits. I have found some great books there and neat things. I think I'm going to renew this membership.

P.S : Can someone pls. tell me, I have Visual Studio installed on 7 using the MSDNAA key. Can i use the same key to install it in XP which i have installed in the same machine ?

It's sad...but it's just more proof I guess that tons of people "are" willing to pay for Microsoft operating systems....they just don't want to pay retail pricing and don't like the restrictions of 1 and only 1 computer that are often associated with those retail licenses.

But, that's why MS offers so many different ways to obtain this software. They hope to catch some people through some of these offers. The more they sell, the more money they make.

Well my downloads remain in my history and I still have access to redownloading/keys.

Looks like they're just removing access for any new signups/people who haven't already downloaded.

If you obtained those keys under false pretenses then I certainly hope so... If you are a genuine student, then what are you worried about...

I am a genuine student; I just don't know how they plan on determining who is legitimate and who isn't. :P

ACM membership subscriptions are forwarded to each school's Program Administrator. The PA is responsible for validating eligibility and then forwarding the subscription data to the MSDNAA program co-ordinator. A simple smooth process with relatively low activity.

The recent surge of subscription activity was anomalous and taxed the ACM resource desk. It is just a young lady pushing paper. A high number of subscriptions were not routable, and of those that were, a high number were rejected at the school PA level.

    Or something like that.

A friend at the Virginia Council of Private Education is married to an Education Council member at ACM.

And for the Orbital one -
