MSDNAA may verify your academic details before allowing you to opt in...

    Just sayin....
How do they verify? I have an edu email address and a student id, as I work for a college but it's not in the school search.

I don't work for MSDNAA so I don't know, but if you're not a student, then you probably don't qualify..

Are you saying this might happen or is likely to happen. Are you're saying some people have been able to download without further verification and others have not been able to? Any ides what the rejection rate is? Ballpark based on what you've seen would be handy.

I might play the odds if I have an idea what they are

ha ha, If you said you did work there, wonder how much PMs you'll recieve.

May be as these news Spreads MSDNAA may look into that. ACM may check. No one knows for sure, Remeber you give all your personal details there.

Remeber you give all your personal details there.
I'm not sure what that means. Is this illegal? Why should I worry about giving them my details?

I do have a legit student ID at an accredited university. But it's not in the MSDNAA school search.

If you're not a student, you dont qualify... an edu email address is not a qualifying factor...

Thats what i was telling about, If you fall into their requirements you dont need to worry even if they suddenly decide to go through a school search else and suppose you somehow get registered without qualifictios you may have a problem may be not.
The thing is i dont think they will tolerate the illegal logins, as many may have gotten there without qualifications, or may be they just want to increase the number of users.

I didnt meant any harm by giving your details, just to let know that this is serious bussiness.
If you already have your School in the MSDNAA list theres no use of getting this unless you like its other resources..

Thanks for the responses. Legally I'm a student because I have a valid student id. We often qualify for student deals just because I work for a college.

Where could I read the individuals requirements?
