Thanks for the responses. Legally I'm a student because I have a valid student id. We often qualify for student deals just because I work for a college.
Where could I read the requirements individuals requirements?

A little clarification ... You are not a student.. you are an employee, with an ID as required by law, whether it says student or not is irrelevant... What you are trying to do is get something that you really aren't eligible for. You might as well get yourself a pirated version... If we cancel the subscription, do we lose the product keys (as in, will my Windows 7 Pro become unactivated)? I assume we must, but I want to be sure.

5. End of MSDN AA Membership
a. Cancellation and non-renewal. You may cancel your MSDN AA membership at any time. Your membership expires if you do not renew it or do not pay the annual fee prior to the expiration of the membership period.
b. Termination. Microsoft may terminate your MSDN AA membership if you fail to comply with any of these terms, or to enforce your staff's, faculty's or students' compliance with these terms. In addition, if you no longer qualify for the MSDN AA program (by meeting the definition of "you" above), then your membership will automatically terminate.
c. Effect. If your MSDN AA membership ends for any reason:
- these terms will terminate;
- you may no longer distribute the software to your staff, faculty, and students; however, they may continue to use copies of the software they received from you prior to termination of your MSDN AA membership in accordance with these terms (including Section 3.b); and
- you must destroy all copies of the software in your possession.

i would say qwerty might qualify under this clause:
# "faculty" means persons employed to teach STEM courses to your students, assist with STEM courses , labs or programs for your students, or conduct non-commercial STEM research on your behalf.
the thing though is that not only is there this EULA but...
there is ACM's agreement and it specifically says that
Student Membership
Includes a print subscription to Crossroads and an electronic subscription to CACM. The Digital Library cannot be added.
Available to High School and undergraduate students only.
so while you might under the MSDN AA EULA allowed access, ACM specifically states that only students are allowed to access these resources at that price...
you might be able to legally access the Professional Membership
the qualifications needed are as shown...

1. Bachelor's Degree (in any subject area); or
2. Equivalent Level of Education; or
3. Two years full-time employment in the IT field.

Was tempted to go for this, but then as my University gives free access to MSDN for computing students, think I'll wait until then

nope, I just received my email with a username and password, went on there and saw Windows 7 Pro, and it said it was free.
So I grabbed it asap. :P
